Vaio = extreme bloatware. Thirty trojans just to handle the volume buttons and display the graphic. Need a 500GB disc just for the default applications.

Simple really. Their laptops really are about as good as it gets in the high end market.

The desktop variants leave something to be desired but the laptops are brilliant. I have high end windows PC's for my desktops. However, my laptops are all Macbooks now.

That simple really, the MBP is the best selling professional laptop for a good reason. You just need to use one and live with it for a bit to understand. I would not replace my windows machines at home with macs though. Just not capable enough for my needs.
