That is abosoloutely rediculous - there is no way that you should be paying that bill - they have fixed nothing. Lets be honest - with that diognosis it must have taken thirty seconds to check. They are probably trying to charge you for 3 hours of labour (£70ish) - arseholes!
That is soooo disgusting - i cannot believe it is that expensive. I got angry when i needed a new centre cap for my Clio mk2 standard alloys and renault charged me over £30 for a plastic one! Renault customer service is awful.
i tried asking Mike, yeah he provides an excellent service but the keys need to be programmed to me car so he cant help. One of the keys has already been off to Mike anyways cos the switch snapped off the PCB, came back in full working order... until i dropped it again
Im gonna ring another dealer for prices to make sure
you can fix the switch yourself, both of mine came off of the chip all i did was open the keys up take the chip out and the switch was loose inside, just got a bit of glue and glued the switch back on, making sure the connecters were touching the right points on the chip, you can soldier but I havent got a soldering gun. Both work fine now!
as for the reprogramming, i think your getting kncoked m8. better of buying anew car and new keys might be cheaper!
yeah but like i said it cant be re-soldered cos when it came off it took the contacts with it!! therefore theres nothin to solder it too!! get me drift?
you gonna think im mad here but that sounds cheap to me!!! I got quoted £160 for one key!!! apparently its about fifty quid for the blade, 90 quid for the transponder then the rest is the coding charge!!!!
so from a renault dealer for two you got a good deal!!!!!
