No problems with CAT D in my book. Buy cheap sell cheap.Cat D Cayman R.
No thanks.
Yes & no.No problems with CAT D in my book. Buy cheap sell cheap.
Gorgeous mate and I think insurance on these pre facelifts for me being 20 is around £2.8k mark. We already have a W204 diesel pre-face lift so face lift would be a change of scenery.C63 like I've just done!

You'll get a decent facelift for that money though.
100% agree.Yes & no.
To Cat D a £2k Clio doesnt take much (50% is £1k), so i agree wholeheartedly, i've had a few Cat C/D's.
On a Cayman R, that will always have been worth £40k+, you're looking at least £20k of damage, which well, is a bit more than a wing.
Unless you see pictures of it damaged/stripped down/repaired, i wouldn't go there. This looked "ok" on the outside for example, but the state of it underneath: http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=162007 😂
Great shout!
Especially this one, hand on heart it'd be a lottery car for me;

Thing is, he want`s to drive to work in it.If you want to experienced high performance for in/around £30K, forget everything you've seen on this thread so far. This thing will eat them all alive around a track https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/82963/dallara-f3024
Loved your porsche neil!My exige s :smile:
Apologies if the question comes across a little idiotic.
But what performance car could you recommend that will not lose more than 5% of its value in 6 months to a year of ownership?
Thanks Jason! Unfortunately I did a quote on these for when I turn 21 in a couple of months and its over £5k. C63 and porsches are only £1800 so its weird. I have really taken to a 996 carrera 4s. Spoke to porsche owners today and they said ideally get a c2s 996 if I find one.I went for this, and it was £10k under your budget from a main dealer. I've had it nearly 6 months and if anything it's worth the same as the day I bought it, maybe more? I know they're a bit of an unknown for future values, but it bodes well that the E46 is climbing, as well as this being the only V8 M3 they did with an "F1 Derived" high revving engine.

I've always wanted a 911, I went to buy one, ended up with this. The dealer warranty was a massive plus, as was the fact its so bloody good to drive. And fast, oh so fast. Hope this helps!
Other options I'd look into is a Porsche 911, possibly a 997 C2S. But for values, the 996 C4S is going north and I dont see it slowing down any time soon. It's a bit of an awkward budget for something that'll go up, £50k there are a lot more modern performance cars that are going up. I just forced my friend into a Boxster Spyder actually!

Odd as the C4S was a lot more for me! I use specialist brokers (Sky Insurance currently, although Brentacre on one of my cars as its "classic").Thanks Jason! Dont want to get into to much detail but I assure you its all hard earned and not from the parents! My dads against me getting cars lol because he doesnt see the point. You have a lot of money for a 20 year old! Jeesh!
What was I thinking about the C2S of course C4S lol. I love the turbo body. Hopefully these wont increase to much by the end of this year. So I can get one for a good price on my insurance renewal.Wouldn't go for a C2S, the C4S is deffo the one to go for. Turbo body & rear reflector strip make it much more special.
