£70

  2.2 bar shed.
s**t. By that basis its going to cost me £100 quid to fill up my BMW tomorrow. Will be the first time I've done it in months :(

Maybe it's time to adopt the "carry round less fuel in order to use less" strategy?

I reckon your fuel consumption increases by 1.5% per half a tank of petrol due to the extra mass. On a more promising note throwing out 3 passengers would increase your fuel economy by circa 25% :rasp:

^yeah i'm a £10 a day man normally based upon the same theory, sent a car off for mapping so had to fill it up :(

  DCi 100
Haven't filled up in over a year, just put 10 quid in to bounce it back off the redlight for 200 miles left on the trip computer now.

  Fabia VRS
i fill up 20 pound everytime, used to hit half a tank (ish) now it doesnt even do that :/

F*** commuting seriously. I'm not as bad as some people on here that go further but I'm still pressing 400 miles a week :/

  Not a 320d
£27 for 20 litres last night.

Ive started taking it easy on the throttle now. Its killing me. Im struggling each month ffs.

It only costs me around £55 to fill my clio with 98.

*Confused face*

You can't be filling that from empty then!

They're a 50L tank, and the average petrol price for regular unleaded is about 130p (50x130=£65). 98 RON is even more expensive, so would be at least £70....

And to make you feel better it cost me £88 last week to fill up the golf. Which gets me around 270 miles

last time i filled up in december i had quarter of a tank left and it took about 45 quid off me to fill it with the premium unleaded buisness, i dread to think how much it costs now. i havent had my car since december the fuel has gone up by stupid amounts since then..although on the upside we've got a whole 1p price reduction from the budget...C**TS

Yeah did anyone else see that 1p go off? Asda next to my work upped it by 1p that morning then took it off that evening again so it was technically reduced by 1p... c***s! lol

No point in even talking abot it tbh, we have f**k all authority to do anything about it! Its disgusting, apauling etc but we are nobody's who are powerless! The only way anything would seriously be done is a complete stand still across britain, everybody blocks the roads and refuse to move till something is done about it...
But organising that would be imposible

A few places did that, bumped it up 4h's before the reduction took place so it's basically 1p less in gov pockets and 1p more in there's ! Shows the state of thing's if you cant even get 1p off tbh...

1p a litre saves me about £2 a month, & i do 30k a year.

To be honest, if petrol were £3 a litre id still buy it, its just one of those necessities tbh. I just go without something else.

i remember seeing a group on facebook for a certain date in april IIRC for everybody to refuse to fill up at any petrol stations in the UK ,where would that get us,all it would do is ,it would only mess up for targets for the petrol stations for that specific day, so realy they would just either end up with a boost in buisness the day before or the day after the protest .lol wouldnt get us anywhere

i'd be like "ooh, petrol stations empty, i'll fill up"

The situation were in will only lead to an increase in crime rates, ilegal fuel will increase
and even petrol theft/driveaways!
As much as i would never do either of the above, im sure many people would get to a point of frustration that they may use ilegal fuel/not so much actual theft at stations though.
The people who have the authority to make the decisions, as allways, are in a very comfortable position financially, said people would never pay petrol as they will have expense's claims that cover it....
Like i said, we are all powerless anyway

  Impreza Wagon
I brim it everytime I fill up which is once a week however I never really take notice of the price as it's depressing! The Clio is still pretty good on fuel however the first half of the tank goes really quickly which makes me think it's costing a lot....

  Listerine & Poledo
You see, even though fuel is getting into silly prices, I still see chav nobbers "cruising" around town, making one hell of a racket in their Carnoisseur specials, "racing" each from one side a ring road to the other.

Some on son, you're not impressing anybody worth impressing and ****ing money up the wall for what? Being an embarasment to yourself? Well done.

I always brim mine as soon as the light comes on, seems to last longer than if I only fill half then fill it another half again once thats all gone..

I totally agree mate, which is weird because you're carrying extra weight. But dividing it down I get better MPG from a full tank.

Shocking maths is probably the answer!

  Lionel Richie
aye V6 cost £70 4years ago, Ali i'm not rich like you, so i run the tank dry ;)

if a 50L tank is £70, then a 60L isn't going to be £72, scotpish maths fail ;)

  Mazda 3 MPS Mk1
throttle bodies / cams are not helping matters too much, but i thought 310 miles out of a brimmed tank is pretty good really!! all in the mapping ;)
