0-50mph test this morning.

  Volvo S60 T5 asap
Bone dry road, Traction Control turned off, 4.0sec.

I recommend Marangoni Zeta Linea, they put all 311lb-ft & 149bhp to road perfectly.

205/45 R16

50mph in 4.0sec in a diesel, scared the hell out of me!

Lets see if they cope as well once tuned (no big increase in torque if any, just having it made better at all revs upto point it would have gained torque, i.e, more flexible and all the BHP gain of a full normal tune.

steering wheel mounted large stop watch. (positioned so the hand I got wheel on, can also start/stop it) give or take a tenth or two, 4.0sec. thats what it showed, 4.2 at worst with human margin of error.

I'll do it again at some point this week, and get it video'd. Couldnt believe it myself. Perfect change into 2nd, no lag at all, just seemless, 0-50

It will be on google video when I filmed it.

why 0-50mph? I suppose why not, but in effect you wont be able to compare it with other times as everything is done 0-60 or 0-100.

in that case I will film 0-100mph (it suffer with aero past 80 85ish) on Thursday and windows video edit it, putting times for 0-50/60 etc along the clip as it passes them. Be tuned then. My best 0-100mph so far is 19.0 but that was having done nothing to car apart from tlc fluids.

  ST on the way...
0-50 would be better for Renaults being as 2nd doesn't quite take you to 60.........bloody gearbox ;)

Yup. mine does 58mph in 2nd (5150rpm) I thinking of getting rev limit by 150-200rpm on thursday when its tuned, then It will clock 60mph in 2nd, knocking any into 3rd gear lag off the 0-60 time, plus the time in 3rd gear. 150 pd tdi does 5500rpm, and mine has engine coating etc and tlc to eye balls and no oil usage, so it should cope with extra 200rpm a few times in 2nd doing 0-60.

What car is this ???

No diesel (with a standard box) I know of hits 60 in 2nd. Dragging isn't what they're meant for.

And power will drain off very quickly after max power, so 3rd would probably be a better shot anyway.

So by that reckoning and by your time already of 4secs dead to 50 you are either going to have to take 2 seconds minimum to cover another 10 mph which with momentum of acceleration you have already after hitting 50 in 4 secs would be like braking or you have a vRS that does 0-60 in sub 6 seconds?

I know you said you timed it ect but i cant see it getting a 0-60 of sub 6 seconds mate

It does 58mph in 2nd at the moment, and the 130 engine gained a huge amount at top end when tuned right. its quick to 55mph, where it strains to 58, tuned, it has 40bhp more at limit (5150rpm, so by extending that to 5350rpm, it will clock 60mph in 2nd, with the best part of 150bhp still being put out. 0-60mph could well be on for sub 6sec.

my bro has a jabba sport (other mods also) 185bhp 320lbft VRS its fast but the first two gears just spin up even in dry and the speedo make it look like its going 50mph when in fact its just wheel spin and he`s doing 30mph lol.

with all that torque and 15more bhp than my 172cup it wasnt as fast and i could pull about 4 lenghs to 100 on it

Sounds like he needs wider tyres to me!!
