1.2 16v 40mm and 60mm Lowered pics!!!

  RS Megane DCi 175
You don't need to lower it to fit alloys son - but if you don't lower it it'll look like a rollerskate.

Personally, I would only consider a minimum 60mm drop - anything less isn't worth it - especially on 15" / 16" wheels! 60mm drop and 17" wheels may cause some minor rubbing but everyone's different and it depends on the wheel offset.

Do a search though - this has been talked about loads!

Lower than 40mm and you can expect to wear your shocks out pretty fast.

I have seen a 100mm+ drop before with standard Dynamique rims, no rubbing on that.

Again it depends what kind of ride you're looking for. From what I've been told the Bilstein kit available on Ktec creates a much firmer ride with good progression. That's only 25mm lower. If you're going for looks fair enough, but you can lower it too far.

im just really lowering mine for look but if it will improve the Ride a lil bit to it would be great.....Im still debating 60mmm or 40mm but readingg through this everyone seems to go 60mm so im taking a guess thats the best to go ?? and has anyone had any problems with speed bumps etc as my Back box hangs a lil lower than a standard Clio one :/
