1.2 16v Belts

Cars done 56k on a 52 plate on what a presume is standard belts ( no mention in service book) :dead:

Don't worry, cars not on the road atm, looking to do get it done asap.

My mates dad works at a garage who charge £110+VAT, is that reasonable? Or should it be left to a specialist?

A competent mechanic should have no problem carrying out the service properly.

good price. Be aware that the water pump is a regular weakness and leaks, even on very low mileage. It's not a hard job at all, but as with most things, some specific product knowledge is well worthwhile. Also, make sure they're replacing the tensioner for that price, might be a bit TOO cheap. I do and have done a LOT of 1.2 16v cambelts
