might be a silly question but, before i go and either rag it off or saw it off, how does this remove? is it a twist or just a full on good yank

It is glued into place.

Use a soft cloth
some mole grips

and let the twisting begin hehehe

Should come off after a bit of work, if it doesnt get the saw onto it.
