1*2 airbox in a 1.4

  Megane 225 F1
Currently got a simota ram induction kit, but i dont think its doing any justice. Originally got it for the sound but i have a prospeed exhaust on so cant really hear it any more. Looking to put a standard airbox back on with a pannel filter.

Now heres my problem.

The 1.4 airbox has alot of wasted space IMO at the back where it connects to the engine. So im wondering if i use a 1*2 aibox and connect it to my TB using my sfs hosing that i already have for the simota induction kit.

Sorry if its a bit confusing, just wanted some feedback on wether you think its a good idea, and if it will fit.

Cheers

Maybe that it fits but there are a lot of things to check, oil breather hole, flange to lower section, flange to throttle-body and so on. I´m sure that a rear mounted throttle body won´t fit side mounted at this Megane-Manifold, because the flange is totally different. If you have already FBW at your Clio and you want use the Megane TB you have to check compatibilty of connectors and electrical spec. If you still have mecanical throttle, I think the TB of the ClioII RS Ph.1 might fit but same to make sure before....

Coming back to the initial question:

The hose of the K&N 57i-Kit in combination with the cup air box and a replacement filter is a good solution. Even the Cup air-box can be optimized by widening the outlet to the inner diameter of the 57i-hose...
