1.2 dynamique idling problem

Ive noticed that every now and again my car will be idling a lot higher than usual, at around 1.5k

what could be the cause of this.
i have a mk2 ph3 clio dynamique (16v 1.2) as ive noted before aswell i have very low MPG, could this be part of the underlying problem.

this is just after starting the engine btw. and will settle after around 2-3mins of driving.

I had a idle problem with my clio, so i took to the a garage and they sent it to renult and they had to replace some valve or summin cost about 300!! so it take it to renault to see if they can see anything. id do it now then later because it may cause more problems. And once ive had that done its been fine. worth doing

but it only does it every now and again. its strange. ive noticed it always does it if ive parked with both my drivers side wheels up a kerb and my passenger side on the road.

Very strange... mine just used to cut out... i meen could just take it into a garage and let them give it the once over up to you

take it to a specialist, not a normal garage

luckily my mechanic lives 3 doors down from me and worked for renault for years. also gets a s**t hot discount on brand new parts

Its normal if the cars been lying for a while or if its quite cold. It goes away once the engine is up to temperature. Has done it on both my cars
