1.2 ecu re map from k tec ( new )

Car  Golf TDI
I think this is new as i have never seen it before and im regular on the k tec site . How much in gains do you expect this to give .? lol bear in mind the 1.2 16 v runs at 75 bhp standard .

dont know mate compared to foxy's as he has buckets , iv still got my standard seats in atm : / mines got no doorcards though ;) and yes i think this remap is deffinately new . so likewise heard nothing about it .

buying one of those resistors off of ebay would be just as useful as remapping a standard 1.2

£5 vs £300 lol

i am thinking about this remap too, but it is too expensive for a 1.2 car
300 prounds=.= crazy

r8ftw had it done didnt he? About 8bhp gains from what i hear.

aparantly all it really does it increase the power lower down so it revs better, and theres a little poof of power like a 3k kick, which i get in mine anyways.

i certainly wouldnt do it. i might with a 1.6 16v or certianly a 2L.

Yes this is our map, gives very good gains in therms of %. I think we saw 8hp and 8lbft which is alot for the power they are!

8bhp AND better MPG though remember. A very worthwhile mod IMO, considering people spend £150 on a Viper.....

8bhp for 300 quid. Id just have a good sh*t and dont have food before i went out in the car :) be about the same

tbh if you get a genuine 8bhp then on the 1.2 thats pretty good bhp per £ when you think what people spend on exhausts and filters.

i always ment to get mine mapped but never got round to it!

lmfao

tbh, with a remap and a full exhaust system, your really talkin about what, 10+ bhp? for what around £500? is it worth it though..

But how much of a increase is that at the wheels? 5-bhp? thats up 6bhp per tonne, comparable to loosing 90kg.

thats not bad at all... 9bhp would make it nearly as fast as a 1.4, with a few more mods it can be quite quick

yer i reckon i stripped car with an exhaust filter and map could be a fun car especailly down the lanes with a good suspension setup with about 90 bhp or maybe more

You can't really complain about getting 10% more power for £300, from a 1.2 na.

1*2's are lucky to get 5% more power from a remap.

do you rekon you could actually get a 1.2 up to 100 bhp ? exhaust , filter , k tek remap , decat ?!

Well ive got a pipercross air filter and a ktec cat back, but i was thinking they dont give power gains i got it for the sound.

But after reading this im thinking maybe if i get a remap it will all together make a differce?

judging by the graphs on the site, it only puts the bhp up to 79.2bhp.

which is a 4bhp increase :(. rather shite.
