1.2 exhaust

Hi guys,ive heard that the backbox needs to be cut off is this true?
Cant you get any off the shelf direct fit ones then
Can anyone recomend any real gud ones and what they sound like best you can please,even if there uni fit,
im only after a backbox as i need it not to drink fuel,i know its only a 1.2 but does any actualy sound differnt as its just a backbox,i fancey it being throaty/raspy not deep drone,its a 98 mk1 ph 3 1.2 8v

Best to go to powerflow and get them to put one of their silencers and tailpipes on it. They have a huge range also.

If you want some noise from it avoid the silencers which are huge and just a big hollow chamber, as these are quiet.

Straight thru, or cherry bomb silercers from custom chrome are the best.

I loved my k-tec exhaust. I came my pants every time i went for a thrash. Sounded better than my 172. Proper pops and bangs...just a shame it never went any where.

No..

If it is standard, them the back box will join a link pipe, which in turn will join the centre section.

Dont put a loud exhaust on it, because you will just look a t**t, keep it as it is and save your money towards your next car.
