1.2 lower ball joint change

I've never changed one so i haven't looked into it, My grandad with a 1.2 has all the parts and we went to change it over however we unbolted the ball joint and the cv boot was very close to something metallic (my brains not working and i cant remember what it was close to touching)

With him being worried and old school about the boot being cut we bolted back everything and left it as it was getting late, He tells me he was told the ARB bush would need to be removed?

Does it? or can you just unbolt the ball joint and change it over?

Thats what i said to do but when we unbolted the bolts the boot started touching if not getting slightly crushed against the wishbone i think... just wanted backup that its a unbolt and swap over thing...

  Lionel Richie
yeah lever the wishbone down though, i know what you mean about the CV boot hitting the wishbone, just be uber careful

the safe way to do it is to remove the suspension strut

Would taking the ARB bush out make the wishbone drop a bit?

What can i lever the wishbone down against?

Feel very noobish, would probably have a better mindset about it if i had it all infront of me, but cant be fucked to go out in the cold

Cheers
