1.4 auto problem?

can anyone plz help, i have a 95 clio 1.4 rt auto.

today car was driving fine, stopped at the traffic lights, put in neutral, then drive to go on my way, but no power as it had before :dapprove:

it makes a whine/screetch noice when u pull away from a stopping stand as if the clutch is slipping till the revs and speed goes up and its away as normal.

i checked the gearbox oil and looked low so i topped it up and its still doing the same?

seems strange why its went like this, is anyone else had this problem?

any help would be much appreciated

Sounds like its dying tbh but other than that Im not to up on auto boxes, sorry! How many miles are on it as they are known for being pretty weak.

the engine and box have done about 70K

once the car is away like normal driving about its fine

only once pulling away from junctions and lights its as if its slipping

oh forgot to mention, if i put it in reverse its still responsive as it should be, only forward gear
