1.4RT Water Pump

Evening All,

First post on the forum, just got hold of a 1.4 Clio RT on a P Reg. Needs the water pump replacing.

How much of a job is this, ive done a headgasket on a renault 19 16v before thats all my knowledge of Renaults is.

Any breakdown of the job would be appreciated massively.

if you can do a headgasket, you can do a water pump

simple as that tbh you know about cam timing from the head gasket job.

the rest is just a case of unbolt things untill you can see the waterpump!

Is this a timing belt off job, previous waterpumps ive replaced were not behind the cambelt. Also whats the access like in the bay on these as ive not really had a good enough chance to look it over as yet.

Easy peasy, quite abit of room to work with too.

Water pump is run of the cam belt. So its a cam belt off job.

Pretty easy. Engine mount off jack the engine up

And just start removing stuff until you can see the water pump
