1.5 cdi - Egr valve info please.

Hi, I have taken my egr valve off and cleaned it, with the black plastic cover off, I can push the mechanism and the valve opens.
When I push all the way the valve stays open, and needs a push to get it to spring back.

Have I pushed this too far, or does it need to be replaced?

Make sure there's no carbon on the shaft, it should spring back

Ok, erm, anyone taken one of these apart? I can't seem to get anywhere with dismantaling the mechanism.

Iys not worth the time taking it apart. Let me have a look in my bag of tricks after work later and see if I have a spare EGR
