1.8 head on 2.0 block

What would the effects of putting the 1.8 16v head on to the 2.0 16v block be?

Would it go straight on? Would you need to modify the ecu?

what ecu? valver or Willy?

custom tunes on the engine always are better with custom maping to suit. I think HillPower can get your ecu maped for your setup. Give him a call.

The 1.8 head will fit straight on the 2.0 block. The only difference is 30mm somethings on the 1.8 head and 32mm somethings on the 2.0 head (inlet valves? injectors? - cant remember!). Anyway, most people use the 1.8 head and exhaust manifold.

it should be fine running, but at its peak, im not so sure...best get it chipped to suit.

yes... I agree with you. Must of the time is a question of money, but the way they look (std) those not give confidence on gains in middle rev.
