1.8 RSi in a Mark 2, Phase 2?

As per the title, Does anybody know if the 1.8 16v out of a Clio 1 will fit in a Clio 2? I haven't heard of it being done before but I have noticed the engines are cheap and there is lots on offer to tune them up.

Waste of time.

F4R can be picked up for pennies now and is a much better/newer/more powerful engine.

Probably works out more expensive to be using an F4R, but the gains are worth it imo.

Plus, parts are much more readily available.
