1 year ago on sunday I was driving to Southampton to buy my 172 from Andy. The car put a smile on my face the moment I drove it so i parted with the money and became the owner of Y697 HWE. Andy had already put Eibach Pro's, Pipercross filter and a K-Tec twin 3" on.
How she looked 30 mins after money changed hands:
When I got home, next to my old clio (note the reg numbers ):
Silvervision bulbs, clear side repeaters and Ph2 rear lights went on, along with my private reg:
Then it all got colour coded:
Followed by a Pro-Speed custom exhaust:
And this is how she looks now... 1 year on and still looking every bit as mint as the day I bought it
When I picked it up, it was on 40,000 miles... exactly a year on and its now on 50,000 miles..... I couldnt have planned that if I had tried lol.
The car cost me £6000 a year ago, and throughout the year its cost me roughly £600 on wear and tear parts, and about £400 on further mods. Its seen several trackdays and been driven "properly" during its time with me. Well worth the cash, and its been a great car to own :approve:
Huge thanks to Andy for looking after the car so well before I had it!
Thanks for letting me bore you to death
/Dan.
