I hit 1000miles today.
Not bad for a car that I only got on saturday.

I worked out that 1000/144hrs (time Ive owned car) = 6.9mph average!

ESP switched off.

Ive already put two tanks of Optimax in this week and by the end of tomorrow Ill be on my third. I filled up Wednesday, then again last night.

Ill be on 2k by the end of the weekend and the cars not yet a month old. LOL

Light is on when ESP turned off. ESP is on by default every time you start the car

im only goin off what it says in my book..it says ...when the function is in operation message 1 lights up to confirm this...maybe its a printing error then, i cant see ur esp comin on as a default tho...right can everyone look in there drivers handbook please....thnx...lol...if im right looks like il have at least 5 apologises...

It comes on when its actually working.. flashes but then goes off..

If its on all the time, then its turned off..

Think about it another way.

The light is ON as a warning, therefore when it flashes and esp is working, then its warning you that you are slipping.

Therefore the light on is warning you that you are (in theory) more likely to slide.

For f**ks sake. Its just not written very well, but anybody with half a brain could work it out. Go out in your car now and try and do the biggest wheelspin you can. The traction control will kill power to the wheels until traction is regained and you will see the light flicker. Then press the ESP switch and do the same thing again. You will pull the mother of all wheel spins, the light on the dash will not flash and you engine will probably bang against the subframe like a sh*t house door in a force ten gale.

havnt got my book to hand but i think it talks about the light in 2 places

one explaining that when the system is switched on but active because your sliding the light is activated (flickering)

and one where it says iof the system is swithced off the light is active (permenant)
