100w bulbs?

Whats the issues with using these (apart from them being for off road use)
i.e. are they likely to heat up more and melt anything?

I've heard about lenses melting on other cars, not sure if it's adviseable on the Clio's or not...

double the current = could melt some wiring
double the heat = could melt something else

Been using them for full beam for about a year no problems.

I only use the 100w lights to flash people as they usually dont turn off their beams.

I had rally bulbs in my 106 and no noticeable difference (halfords ones)

got 100w rally blues in my clio main beam and dipped beam for at least 3 months and fine and dandy

i had 100w in my headlights and it melted the wiring and bulb holder, needed new one then, dont do it.
