Daily bucket seat options

Hopefully this is in the right section?

So bit of a story, I've had a fair chuck of surgery to my core and its still pretty ruined, as such doing a track day writes me off for days. The stock seat and belts in my Clio 4 aren't overly supportive and i end up using what core strength I have to keep my upright and in the right place. So I'm looking for something else just for the drivers side.

My issue is the car is a daily driver and only used for occasional track days, but i defo want the support when required. Id like something i can commute in and still be relatively easy to get in and out of. I'm also a fatty so needs to be for the bigger boned person.

What are my options, shell out for some ropey CS Recaros? Harnesses i don't mind removing as and when as long as i can us the oem belt too. I did have oem clip in harnesses from schroth back in the day that were used on the stock leon cupra r seats, is there anything like that available for the Clio?

Thanks in advance

First thing i'd say is try sitting a few different people's cars with bucket seats, some are mega comfy, some are hardcore race seats.

You going full fixed bucket or recliner?

I know recliners aren't ideal with harnesses, but for a road car that does the occasional track day it might be worth considering, a lad I knew when I lived in Nottingham had a 182 with Sparco recliners, they were comfy as f*ck and he was using OEM seatbelts.

Tillet b6 XL 43 Screamer.

It’s what I have in mine. Super comfy , super supportive and easy ( in a Clio! ) to get in and out.

Always welcome to test in mine if needed.

Granted haven’t dailyed it with them in, but my Corbeau Clubsports aren’t the worst thing in the world. They’re XL’s so nice and roomy. If you got something cheaper like that, you could always replace the foam in them with some memory foam or something?

I had Sparco EVO3 in the flamer way back when (in XL size) and they were comfortable enough for me to do Le Mans and back. Unsure if they still make them?

Cheers all,

There's some flash options in there! pole positions and the tillets are around 1k looking about. Looks like i need to spend 500 on subframes for the CS's after buying them too to make them fit the CS4

Sparcos and Corbeaus are more my bag/price range :D

I've been looking for seats recently and I've seen all sorts for sale.

If you just want some comfy seats with the option of a harness, there's plenty of factory fitted Recaros for sale on FB marketplace, they're not fixed buckets and you'll need to buy mounts, but if you're budget conscious it could be an option.

It's worth typing Recaro in FB marketplace, see what's out there.

Just buy a cheap seat and mount, put it in night before is your best way I'd say, you'd need to use a harness also on track to keep you snug 👍 i have some cheap corbeau thats fine, not very comfy for daily driving though

I just bought this for £120, it's not fancy but it fits my middle-aged arse, even has sliders fitted.

A mate gave me an omp base, so I just need a pack of big bolts and I'm good to go, it can be done on the cheap.
