Cambelt hasn’t been done. Well, it has but it’s due again on time. Both him and myself rarely get cambelts done on RS products because (like you!) customers never believe us anyway so there’s no point in wasting £3/400 on it.

Even if they believe you then it doesn’t end there. Opens up into more questions. Did you change the water pump? Was the dephaser done? Is the new belt vegan?

I’d just gel the buyer on at that point. Nice thing about clios is they are pretty easy to sell. I mean the amount of people selling cars with ‘belts done but I lost the receipt’ suggests to the wider world it’s not a problem
