i am thinking of buying a sat nav unit with my dad so he can use it in the week when he is driving a lorry and i can use it at the weekend

the problem i have is the lorry is 24 volts and the car is 12 volts so is there a converter plug or somthing to sort this problem out?

thanks

Mark

if the nav sys you buy is 12 volts then you need a step-up transformer for when its in the lorry. If its a 24volt system then you need a step-down transformer for use in your car. Not sure wots available but im certain the link above will help [Edited by Daz_2427 cos Dink beat me to it! lol]

thanks for the replys

the sat nav would be running off 12v so i would need a stepdown converter from 24v to 12v.

dink i found that one as well dont know how it works and it seems quite big

davep24 that is really what i need do you know where to get them from and how much they are ?
