14" Alloys on my Clio...

  Breaking A 172 Replica
Hey guys,

How would the handling compare to 15s?

The car is a 1.2 dynamique.

I have had 15s 16s and 17s fitted and like 15s so much I can't help think 14s may be better still?

You could try a set of 14" steelies as a cheap trial

If you do get 14's then the tyre profile you'll probably use is a 185/55 which is surprisingly expensive if you want decent rubber

you'll save a little weight bt nothing too noticable....as long as the wheels are nice n wide then should be better than 15s....but imo keep 15s....they're good at grip at retaining your speeds....if you're really concerned about handling thou then you could by some super lightweight 16s....will give you real good grip and be as light as 14s

  1.8 8v RSi
to be fair thou its a 1.2 so wont be going much faster than mine to need a massive ammount of grip.....after all the clio is quite grippy as it is lol

Try asking someone whos gone from 14's to something bigger, pretty much anyone with a 1.4/1.6 's' 'si' or 'rsi' would have started with 14s, if theyve changed for bigger, im sure theyd be qualified to advise you. Im not, cos im still on my 14's!! :rasp:
