15" vs. 16"

  VW Passat 170 sport
15"s Much Better, as you can lower it much More (60mm maybe more)

16"s shite, look like tractor wheels on clios and also u cant lower it much i.e 40mm

Sorry buddy that is just not true!

You can lower on 16s just as much as on 15s providing tyres are the right size.

16's IMO, and many others on here look the best on clios.

15s do have the advantage of cheaper rubber but I think 16s handles better due to lower pro tyres (don't quote me on this last one as I know some track people use 15s)

im maxxed out on coilovers without the spacer rings on 16's, so like 80mm?? and theres plenty off room because im going lower...:S

im on 15's at the mo because my 16's are going to be refurbed, its quicker off the mark but id rather have 16's because they fill the arches better with it lowered.

Does the higher profile not result in greater flex in the tyre? Which means less lateral grip?

Not many cars have 16 inch rims, hence not an amazing amount of 16inch rims out there.

Much more choice in 15, cheaper, and does the job better too.

  ST on the way...
Yeah but you can get 45 on 15's as well as 16's.

I've got 195/50 on mine and they cope pretty well :)
