I’m on standard 182 16” wheels at the moment and just wondering why people drop down to 15’s? I guess tyres are slightly cheaper and wheels are potentially a bit lighter, but I’m more interested in how a drop down to 15’s changes how the car ‘feels’?
I’m lowered on Eibach Sportlines at the moment but might be looking at coil overs in the near future anyway. If 15’s make for a more fun driving experience sounds like they are for me
195/50/15 or 205/50/15 at the most. Don't even entertain a 55 side wall profile as it'll just look utter crap and you'll get no benefits over the 50 profile.
Another vote for 15" wheels. I always think the cars drives and feels much more lively on 15" wheels. Like others have said better and cheaper tyre choices too. My track car is on coilovers with 15" Pro race wheels.
Yeah I run 16 inch rims with 195/45 tyres as I think 195/50 look a bit balloon like, could run 195/45 x 15 but this would lower the gearing which on a road car I don't want to do. However while temporarily fitting some 15 inch rims with 195/50 tyres (same make/type tyre) I did think it drove better, not massively, but better.
