16*9 alloys (drawbacks?)

mmmmmm nice!

obviously a set of superwide alloys like this would look s**thot, but what are the disadvantages? i assume that by having wider alloys, ur moving the center of the wheel further out which could stress some components? driveability?? tire prices?(!)

any advice is welcome

i'd go with a 205 and stretch it on.

wont sit in the arches, so back will need to be HARD so it doesnt scuff the arches but dependant on fitment the stretched tyre may fit under enough to work.

as for driveability i wouldnt recommend doing a trackday on them, but they should be OK for driving round town in, and it will stress the steering etc.

best bet is to ring john and have a quick chat as i think they do them in an 8'' which would still give the look and work a bit nicer
