16" or 17" alloys

  Mk4 .:R32
I need some new alloys for my 172 (cos they are kurbed and beyond repair...by the previous owner I must add). I want some OZ superturismos or superleggeras. I just wanted peoples opinions on what size. I currently have 17's and the ride is a bit uncomfortable when going on bumps/pot-holes. Will gettin 16's make much diff?

more the fact you can put a more bubbly tyre on a 16 inch wheel. I'd go for 16s with a 45/50 profile tyre

I have a set of both 16 and 17's. If I am honest I notice very little difference, I suppose it depends on where and how you drive.

17s ruin handling, stability and comfort.

Go for 172 wheels. It just so happens I have some for sale. PM if interested.

Thanks matey

yeah 16's mate, 17's ruin most things including your wallet when its time for tyres.

halfords by me has the 20% off offer on at the moment - brings the prices down to being marginally cheaper than web prices :)

Halfords are not only robbing barstewards, there range of wheels is gash too!!

range has changed as of last week and now deal with over 25 different brands of alloys, they cant have every wheel they sell on the wall

I can't seem to find any 16" Superleggs :( They all seem to be 17" or higher.. Can someone point me in the right direction please

Thanks

P.S. Sorry to go alittle off topic
