16 s & Lowering

If I was to get 16"s with 205/40s, how much can I lower it?

I would like -40mm, but dont know whether this will be too much.

Ive got 16s with 205/40/16 Kumhos. Got an RT with skinny little arches and doesnt scrub. Lowered 40mm at the moment but going down another 20 soon as it doesnt scrub.

Cheers

If you get the correct offset, the lowering a 16v is no problem at all except for the exhausr hitting the floor sometimes.

That valver is mint, got any more pics?

Also where can I get some -50mm springs, can I use them with standard shocks?

You can get -50mm springs from BB Tuning (http://www.bbperformancetuning.co.ukwww.bbperformancetuning.co.uk). You should have no problems using standard shocks, but bear in mind that theyve probably seen better days and that especially front strut top mount bearings wear at an accelerated rate with lowering.
