16v and RSi interiros??

I'm going looking at my first valver this weekend. Just spoke to a guy that is selling one and he told me that he swapped the 16v trim for the RSi trim as the RSi trim is better.

Is he talking poo poo??

I had an rsi then changed for a valver.interior is 10 times better in the valver.but u need to get a 16v up the years (1995 - 1996) for a better interior.

personaly i think it is choice but if you aint driving a lcio thn yes the 16v are better. i have a 1.2 lcio with an rsi interior the blue and yellow pattern where as my mate has a 1.4 rt with the clio 16v interior with the dark pattern that sort of says clio in it.

alright matey, long time no see!!

if the car is pre 94 and has the black with blue flecks in it then yes the rsi is a nicer interior (not really better mind)

if its 94 onwards then i would say he is talking crap tbh as they are the nicest interiors going!!
you can pick up full leather for a few hundread quid should you want to change it!!

Thats the same interior thats in my 16v wouldnt change it at all its great

The car is a 1992 on a K plate. He says he replaced it with a later spec RSi trim.

Ah well, I will go and look at it. I can always swap it in the future. Dont fancy leather though, slide about too much.............. although they do tend to amplify farts by appx 35%, lol

im fine thanks matey been busy with work and buying a house with the mrs so dont get out very much any more lol

if its a 92 then it the origonal material (black and blue fleck) was a poor quality an was prone to ripping and sagging like the r5 seats do!!
the rsi interior was a more hard wearing interior and hes prob replaced it as the origonal interior was fucked whih isnt a bad thing really!!

my mates winston and taylor always has loads of trim in and you can get a mint set like the one in the pic for 150ish including all the door cards/ rear quarters!!

Well, I went to see it and, if that was his idea of mint, I'd hate to see what he thinks is rough.

It drove well enough, apart from the rear end scraping like mad. But, there sills needed doing, the seat was piss wet through, the roof lining was mouldy, it had been painted down one side, the bonnet needed painting..........


ah well, guess I'll have to just keep looking.

If anyone knows of any really nice valvers, standard body work, minor engine mods, around the £2,000.00 mark, let me know
