16v comming out of 5th

Been having some more great fun in my valver was flying down country roads for about 2 - 3 hours today!! On my way home however im finding when I put my foot down quickly in 5th it just pops back into neutral, its never done this before and I was really pushing it quite hard for a couple of hours, any idea what I might have broke?

Could be the gear stick does seem to move a fair bit if I suddenly boot it, but I wouldnt say much more than my 1.2 clio did. How can I check if it needs replacing?

Dogbone mount mate i reckon!

Only £34 from BBPT and a 10 min job for ya to fit it.

dogbone mount would be a first check but the 16v j type boxes are also quite commen for the 5th gear nut or bolt to work loose.

Mine pops out of fifth since i changed my dog bone mount. Dont know why. Anyone?

Can you adjust it via the link arm?

I would say the engine mount especially if the gearstick moves about alot when you boot it

If you can feel/see the stick move drastically when "givin it some" then it sounds likly to be the dogbone mount. (just to agree with the majority aswell heh!)
