16v Conversion Help!

lookin at buyin a 16v engine, ive found a few but need some questions answered so i can get on wit it

r clio & 19 driveshafts the same?

r the williams & 16v driveshafts the same?

how much should i be lookin at for an engine?

where can i get the conversion done for a reasonable price?

Mate, my valver engine is for sale!! and im not too far away here in Cambridge!!

It will need the Cam belt doing but that can be done for £40 when the engine is out!!

It is on 124k but has full Renault service history up to 2001 and has been maintained since by my mate and the previous owner!!

I am looking for £200 for the engine, gear box which has been rebuilt by renault and have the receipt to prove it, ecu and loom!

It has had a new clutch in August and it has only done just over 2k miles!

I am getting GDI in Caxton just outside of Cambridge to fit my new willy engine in the next week or so and it will be availiable after that! If you have the funds ready Andy (GDI) will be able to do us both a deal on the fitting!!

u got the driveshafts as well?

124K is bloody high mileage as at bout 150K they go BOOOOOOOM!

need to find a cheap place to do the conversion but i jus want the engine so i can clean, do, maintain it while im saving for the conversion

Smokey, how much you paying altogether for the willy lump and GDI to fit it?

Ive heard good things about them!

Why not go the GTT route. Seems like the easier option for most people with RTs.....

the price of the conversion varies a fair bit

16v conversion for around £350

GTT conversion for around £1k

19 and clio DS are diff, 19 and williams DSs are the same, so diff from clio 16vs dss.

19 driveshafts are not the same as a 16v clio as the 19 has a wider track.

They are however the same as on the Williams, yet another part Renault raided from the parts bin when they made that car
