17’s on 1.2 clio mk2 phase 1

Im new on the site, just passed my test an have got a 99 1.2 rt, its got 16 inch 172 alloys on at the mo but i was wonderin if i could put 17s on without getting any rubbing and without doin any arch work. cheers for any help.

yes mate - no probs at all. ive got exactly the same model/year etc and i have 17s and lowered 60mm (still get full lock with no rubbing). im not quite sure of which offset to go for but do a search on this site for a topic regarding 17s. Youll find loads and in many of them itll tell you what offset to use.
