slam it on the 16s
you could get away with slamming it on 17s...think the mk3 take alot of wheel.
mines lowered 30 btw still doesnt make much of a diff hence coils!!
dynamique s gets a flared arch aswell iirc, spacers would be needed i think!
Meggy going??
the 138 is a good call tbh.
should be good on the fuel but still allows some fun.
You'll love the H&R coilies, nice and refined
Meggy going??
yes m8. bought a new house and with interest rates, loans, fuel, tax, tyres and to top it off a £6.5k ballon i decided id had my fun with the two meg sports, and two cliosports. It was tougher than you know to adjust to the idea, but in my own personal circumstance its the right thing to do.
Its daft, the meg will be over £300 next year to tax, its doing 27-28mpg best. and tyres fitted (as tyre prices are up) was £706 ! ohh and i have 9points (3 off in oct though) and tbh i only get excited in the meg when im cornering at a speed on a b road thats 20 over the motorway speed limit, the car is almost too complete and being a turbo is too quiet.
only lost £850 on my first 225cup and £2.2k on my R26 over 1.5years of driving so im not fussed about depreciation calculations that very sad people seem to do when working stuff out as its the day to day running and big payments that count in reality.
clio 138s on order. should be good. i know its not a sporty car as such but its still brand new (so many people now forced to drive old bangers to get to work) and ive added some nice options.
parents+gf are getting me some H&R coilovers for my 30th b.day which is in october roughly the same time as the car arrives.
Good call on the 138 - they're a nice car, felt torquier than the 197 to me, which I know on paper it isn't, but it's torque is a bit lower down I think which is what made it feel gruntier.
It'll be a great commuter car, decent chassis, grunty engine that's not silly on fuel/tax/insurance, and nice and comfy with loadsa kit
what spec colour an options did you go for the tax still going to be 210quid
looks nice have you found a lowering kit as ive read their isnt one for this engine
You only get the cornering lights when you opt for Xenons.
judgeing by the blurb the suspension is setup is diffrently to normal as for the alloys they come on any engine as long as its dynamique s which seems to be more an more popular
a few things about the cabasse it will not play mp3 cds if your expecting to add things like a tune point to conect ipods usb ect you wont be able to as the cabbase headunit as no inputs left as the radio tuner isnt located within the headunit its under the drivers seat their for makeing alot of work to remove an will mean you have to rewire the entire car if you decide its not the headuint for your needs
Heh, probably only a handful of these 138s sold a year, what are the chances that this places get 2, the same colour, at almost the same time?
Dan

no idea ive got a cabbasse hu which was great when i ordered the car but i now want something better which has bluetooth usb etc an ive been told the cabasse is a nightmare to remove
if you do find away around this will you let me know as id like to change mine
Its easy to remove but its some of the wiring you have to change im sure is the nightmare part some one posted a link up on how to do it on here a while ago
My mum's dyn s 1.4 came with the non-xenon cornering lights as standard, unless they've changed this now? Oh and the photochopped pic with dark wheels - do it! looks great
