172 car seat covers

I like my 172 L&A car seats, and want to protect them from oil, chilkdren with sticky sweets, and general wear and tear.

If I stick ordinary car seat covers on them, then the side airbags wont work.

I read in the user manual (yes I RTFM) which said to ask my local renault dealer. They said they dont do them.

Are there any that are OK with side impact air bags?

make just cut a hole on the seatcover where the side airbags are located?

or do what I do....ban the kids from eating and drinking anything in the car...

Make em sit there, seat belt on, feet on the floor, hands off windows!!!!!!!!!!!! Never had a problem with oil on the seats tho.....!

I have tried cable ties but they managed to bite through them. Tried to duck tape their gobs but kiddie spit seems to be one of the best lubricants around.

I might give the "cut out the offending part" option a go.....or try some black towels to cover the alacantra.
