172 clutch adjustable

hey all

i am recenetly having major problems with my clutch. the bite point has gone all the way up to the top (even further then the already high bite point), leaving me very little freeplay. the clutch struggles to capture when on an incline, making it hard to get moving. in the morning when the clutch is cold, it is also very hard to engage the gears smoothly.

i went to reno to enquire about it, they said something about a self adjusting clutch, and that it was not adjustable, they admitted that something was not feeling right and will get someone from renault head office here in australia to look at it further in a few days...

so what on earth is wrong? and is the clutch really not adjustable?

My clutch did this after i went racing and dumped teh clutch. Took it to my brother in law who look at it and adjusted it under the pedal. I have dumped it that quick that the teethed pawl conecting the pedal to the cable had slipped a frow teeth. he reset it and since then its been fine
