172 clutch

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
ill be due one soon judging by the feel on the pedal.....im thinking about havin a crack my self......

clutch is 100. are there any renault tools needed? how hard is the job?

not an easy job at all. DO NOT lever down the subframe. the easiest option is to lift the engine out as you can do the cambelt at the same time. the book time for a clutch on a 172 is 7.3 hours. This is in optimum workshop conditions so allow yourself about 10 hours if youve never done one before.

  172 cup'd extreme
subframe way is a tw^t better off lifting the engine out ,do some more jobs whist its out if the need doing , the clutch can be changed with a 16mm for the gearbox an 11mm(odd size?) for the cover plate , be careful with the release bearing , made from shitty plastic , you get an alignment tool with the new clutch so jobs a good'un
