172 cup rattle

Hi,

My 172 cup started having this proper rattle all of a sudden, it now sounds worse like a tin can rattling about. It sounds like maybe the gearbox and the noise changes when i press the clutch pedal. The car drives and goes into every gear fine…

Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Pushing the clutch in suggests it might be related to the Clutch release bearing. Has it had any work on the box recently? It's rare but the thrust sleeve that guides the bearing can come loose.

Sounds more like the valeo clutch is failing to me and the straps have broken.
