tbh that would be a great buy for someone wanting to turn it into a track car.... could do an engine transplant if needs be and could mod it all for the price of one for half the mileage. I wouldnt be put off by that in the slightest.

I think it looks in good condition compared to some of the clios ive seen on here.

New steering wheel and maybe some fresher seats and it could be nice.

Like said above, milage wouldnt bother me if its been serviced and the price is right.

Shells are actually affected by mileage, high mileage shells normally flex allot or they develop stress cracks around load points on the shell when used hard. As i cheap daily or throw away track car it would be fine, but there is now way id throw good money at that shell to turn it into a serious track car/race car. Mileage is just too high.

Im impressed at the 200k and that hes over £500 for it, at the mo.

Somewhere in the £750-1000 is a good deal for all parties imo.

I'm no mileage snob, but I wouldn't even consider that! Everytime I drove it I would be worrying about things going wrong and will be almost impossible to sell on! Fair play though, proves that engines these days will do alot of miles if they're looked after.

^^ agree but if it was bought for £750 ish you'd be able to make quite abit back by breaking it.

Suspension has been badgered at some point, the rear is FAR too high.

It's either had non sport rear springs fitted at some point, or something's just plain fucked.

I was watching this from the day it went up. It was bid up to over £600 within hours. VERY blatantly shil-bidding going on which pissed me off enough to not even consider bidding. I would have gone to £800 on it

I see what point you are trying to make and I have limited experience in buying Clio parts, but........

I doubt anyone would pay £700 for a Clio engine that had covered 200k miles (unless it's been changed or the person selling the parts lies), or £350 for a gearbox that has covered the same miles (again, unless it has been changed or the person selling the parts lies). I have also seen 172 alloys go for as little as £65 on ebay and they rarely seem to make £150.

That is a large chunk of the potential money gone already. I'm not doubting there is money to be made, but I can see why people are saying they wouldn't have paod as much for it.

I make circa £2k breaking a Proton, so I know it's possible to make decent money, but the parts have to be sought after, something special, or in pristine condition.

who gives a toss abt shill biddin, copart r renowed for it if it goes for what u want to pay then buyit, u aint gonna get these sort of cars for a couple of 000 quid no matter what the mileage or damage due to the desirability of the breaker business

Where are these prices from exactly??? £700 for a 200k old engine, £250 for a subframe and £300 for a pair of lights??

A few years ago maybe, but now? I bought 52 plate Cup with 79k on it for £1500!

Wrong springs fitted at mot by the looks of it. He obviously looked after it, engine will go on and on if its had regular oil changes

It is probably worth more in parts I don't disagree, but as said, some the prices are toppy to say the least!
