172 gearbox

my gearbox has gone in my 172, can i put a 182 gearbox in? will it be a straight fit? if anyones got either let me know

yes straight fit, nothing is different,

depends if your 172 box used a speedo cable or not, the 182 box dnt use the cable. If yours uses cable you could fit the 182 box but your speedo wont work. think thats correct

Only the Ph2 172's and 182's have the same box.
If your 172 is a Ph1 it's a different box IIRC.
