172 goes into limp mode when i accelorate

Hello.

The clio hasnt been feeling right the last few weeks, it still drives normally etc apart from over run which is odd... ive noticed it slows down alot quicker than normal, as if im braking but im not.

Then on sunday i went a 60 mile trip, and as i gave it beans to over take, the car went into limp mode, i pulles over and turned the car off, had a look under the bonnet but nothing. Startwd the car and away i went. Same thing happened again a while later.

When i arrived at my destination my brora noticed one of my HT leads was snapped.

I got a set of leads for it and it was sorted, but its just done it again twice today! It goes away if i turn the car off then on again.

The electrical fault light is coming on when in limp mode, but it goes away when the car is turned off.

Any ideas?

Could be coil pack. Easy to replace! Probably best to get it diagnosed before chucking notes at it though

Thinking thag really.

Only really put the post up to see if anyone has had the same problem and found a fix for it.

Could be alot of things but ill start with the diagnostics!
