Help an old man ….

  Clio 172 Phase 2
At three score and five + years , I’m not your typical 172 owner but I’ve owned my phase2 from when it was it three month old, enjoyed pretty much trouble free motoring and still love this little car. I grew up with and still run classics with carbs and points so “modern’ cars, including the 172 with all the sensors and electrics phase me a little.
For some time I have been experiencing random P0120 throttle position sensor limp mode faults. Some times weeks between occurrences and fixed by the off / on reboot.
Checked and cleaned the pedal and throttle connectors, next in line the dreaded white plug which looks like a b**ch to disconnect.
So, here comes the question … if I eventually go down the line of replacing the throttle body is it a simple plug and play job or does it involve any reprogram or coding ?

Throttle body replacement is plug and play. Its best off resetting the adaptives if you have access to dealer level diagnostics, but is not essential.
