172 headlight washers

Can anyone help?

I want to remove the washers on my 172 and replace with the 182 covers/plugs - can you purchase the simple covers anyway or can you just replace with a rubber gromit from Halfords etc..... read somewhere that they check them as part of an mot? is this right?

What you're after are Cup washer blanks.

Dealer only for new, or if you're lucky find a set second hand - they normally go quick and for nearly the price of new normally.

£95 retail IIRC for the pair.
