172 height?!

i picked up my one 172 sport yesturday oh and sooo impressed!!
Anyway i went to see a mate he owns a 182 sport and he said he had all of the suspension pack or ungrades(sorry that might not sound right) and he said that i should lower it about 8mm.
i pull up next to him and saw that my car was sitting lower and as far as i know it hasnt been lowered.

any idea?

look at the suspension youve got, if its not black then its been lowered. unless its on eibach sport springs then they are black still.

If your freind had a 182 with the Cup suspension upgrades it lowers the car only 3 mm more than a standard 182. I doubt you would be able to tell much between a 182 with cup packs and your 172 in ride height.

There tolerances in the setups the 172 can be upto 10mm lower of highter than standard and still be fine the 182 will be plus ot minus 5mm and still be in spec so although the standard level for a 182 maybe 3mm lower the 172 could be upto 12mm lower due to tolerances.

182's always look highas a kite anyway in comaprison to 172's. Not sure why. Unless it is just an illusion.
