172 IK fitment

Car  Clio 172 Cup
Sorry if this has been posted before....

Will an IK meant for a Phase 2 172 fit a Phase one?
I assume not otherwise they wouldn't sell different ones?!

Apparently the standard air box is a different shape? :S

Thanks in advance!

Russell

The Std airbox on a MK1 is a cylindrical box and the MK2 is rectangular.
As a result I beileve the layout is different and the Airbox located in a different place on each model.

if u want to fit a after market i/k then yes it will fit! no problems u would have trouble if u wanted to fit the standard mrk2 box on urs but, a new i/k will fit!

i stand corrected. i thought the placement of the inlet was different? hence why weegad was having problems fitting a ph1 engine into his ph2 car?

no same place, the bend is a bit tighter , the reason he is having probs is the ecu, as the mrk 2 has the uch and the mrk 1 does not, he could solve this by using omex and a few mods to the inlet, but ik fits all of em
