would be very tight. willy engine can be tuned to similar power and beyond i imagine.
 


Nope cannot be done would be a good big bonnet bulge.

You could throttle body it to help lower its height though

If your talking about a Mk 2 2 then you have the problem of the the multiplex wiring ECU but throttle bodies would rid you of the problemas they run stand alone ECUs

The Mk 1 have normal wiring so would be easier but you have the height problem.
 


of course itll fit, no one says u have to put it in the front. and i know a place thatll do it and make yaself rwd too!

Now I like that idea but why stick a 172 engine in ther why not a 16V to keep it oiginal. Then leave the front engine there and your talking about a ~280hp 4*4 Clio now that would be something.

Dropping a 172 Mk 2 2 would be more difficult as its got an electronic throttle and multiplex wiring so you need to figure a way round that.

u could put it in but ud need after-market managment unless u got whole car/loom/ECU/key. not just because of multiplexing, but because each key/ECU is coded (immobiliser) to each car
