Well enjoy your sex wee.. but its down to personal taste, equipment levels really arent that different between the mk1 and mk2 172s, although over 50% of the parts were changed or modified.

If you like the mk1s get a mk1.. otherwise get the mk2. Personally I prefer the mk2 but can see why people would like the mk1.

I love the mk1 and much prefer it to the mk2 which is why I bought my baby...although...I would have preferred it if I could have gotten a sunflower yellow one or a nice low mileage red one.

i have to agree with that, the mk2 bumper looks better with the addition of the cut lines down from the lights into the gap mid bumper, and i own a mk1. the front to me of the mk1 looks more.....................well actually not sure what, i just think it looks better.

must say that mk1 in red look gorgeous. sooo nice. first ive seen to be honest.

Mk 1 from the front, wheels, and colour stitching in seat

Mk2 from the back, headlights and creature comforts

I dont mean to cause an arguement sori peeps i didnt go they done the mk1 in flame red i take it they are rare then.

Mk1 front, Mk2 back - you can tell a mk1 172 straight away, slits under lights etc, mk2 looks more normal.

Most colours seem rare on the mk1 172, all i see is silver ones, the odd blue one, and only ever seen one red/black and yellow one

i chose to get a mk1 over a mk2 cos i preferred the looks and the performance is marginally better, only thing i like about the mk2 are the xenons. They are the dogs, but each to their own i guess
