Are Clio Mk1 and R5 subframes the same?

As per the title, are Clio Mk1 and R5 subframes the same? I'm looking to use one to make a jig to make a tubular maxi subframe and push the lower arms out by 50mm each side. I've already swapped in 182 cup lower arms etc so need to get a spare subframe with all the same mounting points as a Mk1 Valver subframe.

They are similar but have differences from memory. I recall the clio has a bush on one subframe mounting point and the rad mounts are different.

If the mounting points match then you would be better off without the bush. Valver/williams have the bush on o/s rear subframe mounting point for some reason.

For anyone who's wondering they're not the same, 3 of the mounting holes are but the passenger side front one is further out on the clio by about 30mm

You can drill a new hole in that part so you can use R5 engine mounts for proper subframe mounting

Standard one is really weak compared to a mk2

Mk2 cut like that had no flex what so ever
