Just a quick question, recently replaced the tyres on the front of my 172, and have noticed that the inner cv boot had popped off. I've noticed how much of a tight gap there is between where the boot sits and the back of the engine.
What I would like to know is, does the cv boot need to be put onto the joint so far that the securing clip clears the back of the engine (if that makes sense)? Or do I need to replace the shaft completely.
Any relevant replies are appreciated!
